FSC Policy and Performance Unit (P&P) is pleased to announce the publication of the revised FSC Risk Assessments for Latvia (FSC-RA-LVA-02-2026) and Lithuania (FSC-RA-LTU-02-2026), based on the FSC Risk Assessment Framework V2-0 (FSC-PRO-60-006b). The effective date of the Risk Assessments is 1 September 2026.

Certification bodies operating in Latvia and Lithuania are required to inform all their clients about the English (official) versions of the FSC Risk Assessments immediately. When using this Risk Assessment, certification bodies shall address major and minor nonconformities as usual.

There is no transition period for this Risk Assessment. From the effective date, the previous Risk Assessments developed under FSC-PRO-60-002a expires and shall no longer be used. Certificate holders and certification bodies are required to apply the new Risk Assessment from 1 September 2026.

P&P would like to acknowledge and congratulate the Technical Working Groups of both processes on their dedication and hard work in successfully completing the Risk Assessment revision processes.
