The objective of this document is to specify the requirements for FSC-accredited certification bodies for developing Interim National Standard (INS) or Interim Regional Standard (IRS), depending on the geographic scope of the standard, for the certification of responsible forest management and the responsible management of non-timber forest products (NTFPs) at the Management Unit (MU) level. These standards shall be based on the International Generic Indicators (IGI) and shall address the regional, national or sub-national conditions in which they are to be used and shall consider input from local stakeholders. The FSC Board of Directors at FSC International, acting through the Policy Steering Group (PSG) shall approve Interim National Standards (INS) before they can be used for FSC certification purposes. In March 2020 the revised procedure was published to reflect the FSC Board of Directors’ decision during their 82nd meeting to delegate the approval of INS to the Policy Steering Group.

The objective of this Procedure is to provide a clear and unambiguous methodology to develop, review, and revise all normative documents in the FSC Normative Framework in order to promote stability and predictability within the FSC system.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Forest Stewardship Standards already require forest managers to maintain/conserve or enhance/restore ecosystem services and environmental values. They also require the managers of FSC-certified forests to identify, produce, or enable the production of diversified benefits and/ or products based on the range of resources and ecosystem services existing in the management unit. The procedure offers a framework for verifying impacts and approving FSC ecosystem services claims that can be used by forest managers to access ecosystem services markets and/or other benefits. It set out the requirements for FSC-certified forest managers to credibly demonstrate the impact of their activities on the maintenance, conservation, restoration or enhancement of ecosystem services.

This document describes the process that FSC adopts to ensure a timely, independent and effective resolution of Policy for Association complaints. These are complaints against organizations associated with FSC about their compliance with FSC-POL-01-004, the Policy for the Association of Organizations with FSC.
This procedure specifies requirements for training auditor candidates and auditors to qualify or further qualify them to audit against FSC's scopes of certification (‘FSC scopes'). The objectives of this procedure are: 1) to ensure a professional implementation of the FSC Training Programme 2) to define the general content and duration of courses for an initial training on FSC (one component of the FSC Training Programme).
This addendum lists the national group CoC eligibility criteria which have been developed in accordance to the process specified in FSC-PRO-40-003 Development of national Group Chain of Custody eligibility criteria and which have been evaluated and approved by FSC.

Búsqueda Pública FSC – Descargo de Responsabilidad
La Búsqueda Pública FSC es solo para fines de lectura. El FSC no ofrece ninguna garantía sobre la exactitud, fiabilidad, integridad o puntualidad de la información, el texto, la documentación, los gráficos y los vínculos proporcionados.
Las entidades de certificación son responsables de mantener sus capturas de datos y los informes de certificación resumidos y públicos actualizados y precisos en la Búsqueda Pública FSC (sección 4.6.3 del FSC-STD-20-001 “Requisitos Generales para entidades de certificación acreditadas por el FSC”). El FSC solamente proporciona la configuración técnica para toda información o documento que una entidad de certificación suba a la Búsqueda Pública FSC. El FSC no lleva a cabo ningún paso intermedio como, por ejemplo, una revisión o el control de la información que se haya subido.
El FSC no garantiza que la Búsqueda Pública FSC funcionará sin errores o que este sitio y su servidor estén libres de virus informáticos u otros mecanismos perjudiciales.
Limitación de responsabilidades:
a. Sujeto a lo dispuesto en la Sección 4.b., la responsabilidad estatutaria por daños estará limitada de la siguiente manera: (i) el FSC será responsable solamente hasta por un máximo del monto de daños previsibles, de manera característica, al momento de celebrar estos términos con respecto de los daños ocasionados por una infracción levemente negligente de una obligación material contractual (es decir, una obligación contractual, cuyo cumplimiento sea esencial para la ejecución correcta de estos términos, cuya infracción ponga en peligro el objeto del contrato y sobre el cumplimiento de la cual usted se basa habitualmente); y (ii) el FSC no será responsable de los daños ocasionados por una infracción levemente negligente de una obligación contractual no material.
b. La antedicha limitación de responsibilidad no será aplicable a ninguna responsibilidad estaturia obligatoria, en particular, a la responsibilidad de asumir una garantía particular o la responsibilidad por daños acosionados por dolo o grave negligencia, o culquier tipo de lesión corporal causada dolosamente o negligentemente.
c. En la medida en que la responsabilidad del FSC esté limitada o excluida, lo mismo aplicará con respecto a cualquier responsabilidad personal de representantes, empleados o apoderados sustitutos.
