Monitoring and Evaluation
We are committed to conducting scientifically robust and data-driven monitoring and evaluation activities. These activities primarily aim to improve our understanding of the outcomes and impacts of FSC forest management certification on various sustainability topics, covering social, economic and environmental aspects, and across countries.
FSC’s Monitoring and Evaluation system
FSC’s Monitoring and Evaluation system is composed of three main pillars that reflect the type of data we collect and the subsequent insights we generate about FSC’s impacts. We use different approaches to collect data and are continually exploring ways to integrate cost-effective methods and modern technologies.

At FSC we monitor and track the global uptake of forest management and chain of custody certification and analyse the main distribution and key trends.
