FSC is pleased to announce the publication of a new crosswalk for the revised General Certification Bodies Standard (FSC-STD-20-001 V 5-0). It is designed to support stakeholders in understanding how the revised accreditation requirements correspond to ISO/IEC 17065 and the previous version of the standard (V 4-0). Please find attached a summary of the key elements included in the crosswalk.
This crosswalk serves as a practical, non-normative guidance tool to enhance clarity and usability, by showing the continuity, revisions, and modifications made in the new version’s requirements by highlighting the types of changes.
FSC revised FSC-STD-20-001 and its related procedures (click here to learn about this process) to ensure continued relevance, alignment with international norms, and improved consistency and transparency within the FSC certification system.
We encourage certification bodies (CBs) and stakeholders to review the crosswalk to better understand the structural and substantive changes introduced in Version 5-0, and how these relate to both ISO/IEC 17065 and FSC's older accreditation requirements.
