New Chain of Custody Interpretations

FSC published two new interpretations on 15 December 2025:

1. INT-STD-40-004_76 (Page 43): This interpretation provides clarification on the interpretation of ‘discrimination’ and conformity to FSC’s core labour requirements in FSC’s chain of custody requirements, in relation to additional paid leave based on religion, where this workers’ benefit is prescribed by law.
2. INT-DIR-40-004_06 (Page 59): This interpretation provides clarification for when certification bodies are to prescribe the implementation of corrective, preventive and remedial measures (CPR) and nonconforming product requirements in the detection of false claims.
