Revised FSC Risk Assessment for Brazil

FSC Policy and Performance Unit (P&P) is pleased to announce the publication of the revised FSC Risk Assessment for Brazil (FSC-RA-BRA-02-2026), based on the FSC Risk Assessment Framework V2-0 (FSC-PRO-60-006b). The effective date of the Risk Assessment is 28 April 2026.   

Certification bodies operating in Brazil are required to inform all their clients about the English (official) version of the FSC Risk Assessment immediately. When using this Risk Assessment, certification bodies shall address major and minor nonconformities as usual.   

There is no transition period for this Risk Assessment. Effective from the date, the previous Risk Assessment developed under FSC-PRO-60-002a expires and shall no longer be used. Certificate holders and certification bodies are required to apply the new Risk Assessment from 28 April 2026.   

P&P would like to acknowledge and congratulate the Technical Working Group of Brazil on their dedication and hard work in successfully completing the Risk Assessment revision process.
