FSC strives to identify the best feasible approach to reduce the use of chemical pesticides in FSC-certified forests and plantations, and to prevent, minimise and mitigate the related environmental and social impacts.
All ongoing and planned international normative development and revision processes in the two upcoming years are listed in the Normative Framework Schedule. It is essential to limit false claims in FSC-certified supply chains and take strong action against companies who violate FSC’s standards. We use industry-leading monitoring tools that help ensure companies of all sizes keep certified and non-certified materials separated throughout the supply chain.
FSC works with its assurance partner, Assurance Services International (ASI) to monitor supply chains of FSC-certified products, detect and address risks, and take action against companies who do not conform with certification standards.
