Being part of FSC means striving for better: not just a green tick, but a shared commitment across all operations to protect forests for future generations. That’s why we take action if anyone connected to FSC engages in destructive forestry activities or violates our certification standards.

What are FSC-labelled Verified Carbon Units (VCUs)?

FSC and Verra are collaborating together to apply FSC labels to Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) issued to projects registered under both the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Program and having the FSC Forest Management Certification(FM) Standard.  As part of the collaboration between FSC and Verra, FSC-labelled Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) may reference the FSC system, such as add the FSC certification label to their respective VCUs in the Verra Registry.

To ensure consistency, credibility, and proper use of the FSC brand, the end buyers must follow the established process for obtaining the right to use the FSC trademark (Initials only) when making claims related to FSC-labelled VCUs.
